Program Design & personal training
Everyone understands that work can be stressful! While we cannot escape necessarily from work, we can do something about stress. When we talk about stress in the workplace, we are referring to Mind, Body and Spirit. For this article, mind encompasses the brain and the neurotransmitters. Body refers in general to the muscle, joints, bones and tissue, and Spirit to inner peace.
First, let us consider brain function in terms of stress in the work place. Nutrition and fitness are key ingredients at any time to keep the brain balanced. Unfortunately, by under nourishing our brain and yet continuously using it to problem solve and make decisions, we in effect are abusing it. Without proper nutrition, physical activity and sleep an individual cannot function in the workplace at optimum level.
Structural & muscular imbalances
The second consideration in relation to handling stress in the work force is your physical health. If your body has any muscular or structural imbalances, it can lead to aches and pains that can cause all sorts of inflammation. Inflammation can cause an individual to crave sugar and/or make sitting and moving uncomfortable. The easiest, most effective solution is getting physical activity at the gym. Initially most individuals need to work on their posture muscles and/or structural imbalances. Our coach will customize a program that will address these imbalances. In addition, engaging in appropriate therapeutic therapies such as massage, acupuncture and chiropractic will be of benefit to you and your body will thank you for it. It is a great way to keep your body relaxed and your cortisol or stress hormone calm.
The last point to consider is emotional stress. It plays a crucial part in our overall health. We all have emotional stress both current and past which we usually hide in our subconscious.
To address these emotional imbalances, we work with our BioSignature Program to balance your hormones through an individualized fitness program, the exclusion of foods causing inflammation and a personalized supplementation program to support both the fitness program and the hormones.
"Although stress and the manner in which it interacts with the mind, body and spirit can be very complicated, with the proper tools and assessment stress of any kind can be alleviated."
